KOTA KINABALU: A person known as Datuk Freddy Lim Nyuk Sang is currently being investigated by the Sabah Police Headquarters following the theft of the Bukit Mantiri Gold Mine, Tawau here this morning.
According to an internal source at Wullersdorf Resources Sdn Bhd, Freddy and Aumas Resources Berhad Chief Executive Officer, Chong Tzu Khen, were confirmed to have been taken into custody by the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) in early February.
It is understood that several seizures including cash and luxury vehicles were seized involving several accounts belonging to Freddy Lim Nyuk Sang and Chong Tzu Khen were frozen.
Previously, the Special Corruption Court acquitted without acquittal of all charges against Datuk Lo Fui Ming and his two sons.
They were accused of misappropriating 41 gold bars and making false documents, thus defrauding the Sabah state government of RM1.3 million for not declaring royalties to the Sabah Land and Survey Department.
Police investigations found that all royalties had been paid in full while there was no loss of the 41 gold bars and no forgery of documents by the accused.
The police report made by Chong Tzu Khen was classified as NFA (No Further Action) by the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
